NORSU is a well-maintained example of the Centurion 40, a fast, elegant and highly seaworthy cruiser designed by Ed Dubois and built in 1987 by the respected French builder Henri Wauquiez. She's currently lying on a pontoon mooring on the Pacific side of Panama, offered at $100,000 USD (tax not paid).
For the past year, Norsu's current owners sailed her from the UK across the Atlantic to the Caribbean and on to Panama, living aboard full-time. Following an extensive 2020 refit by her previous owners, the current owners invested significantly more in 2023 to prepare her for a planned three-year circumnavigation — a new engine, new mainsail, new electronics including a Starlink and Iridium setup, all-new safety equipment including a 6-person liferaft, all nine through-hull fittings replaced, and new standing rigging fitted in 2020. Their circumnavigation plans were cut short by personal circumstances, leaving Norsu a genuinely turnkey bluewater cruiser ready for her next adventure.
Her shoal-draft lead bulb keel gives just 5'3" of draft, opening up shallower anchorages without compromising her offshore ability — a boat that has already crossed the Atlantic at least nine times, sailed easily short-handed thanks to her excellent cockpit layout, and offers over 2m of headroom throughout for genuinely comfortable liveaboard cruising.
